TOP 3 MANAGERS OF THE SEASON

1.Carlo Ancelotti-

arguably the best manager during the 2023 2024 Season, Carlo Ancelotti has led Real Madrid to a near perfect Season. He's already led Real Madrid to the La Liga and Spanish Supercup titles and are in the final of the Champions League as they seek to win a record extending 15th European Title.It was made more impressive given the fact that several first team players were missing for much of the season. There were injuries in defense and Goalkeeping positions to Eder Militao,David Alaba and Thibaut Courtois were injured for extended periods of time respectively and he had no striker in the team apart from on loan forward Joselu and there were even talks that his job was in danger due to an on and off 2022 2023 Season.

Real Madrid started the season well and won several games although most of the games were being won by a single goal margin which sometimes made their games difficult.Real Madrid's good start to the season would be tainted by Atletico Madrid in a heavy 3-1 defeat in which Real Madrid were widely exposed in defence leading to questions regarding how the Season would pan out for Real Madrid and if Carlo Ancelotti would leave for a second time.Carlo Ancelotti also wasn't helped by the fact that he was without his main players did not deter him.He made some adjustment and instilled a strong winning mentality in his team and from then on they would not look back.They'd go on to exceed expectations, performing amicably in important games and also win them against the likes of Barcelona, Girona, Atletico Madrid(although Atletico would return the favour by knocking them out of the Copa Del Rey), RB Leipzig, Manchester City and Bayern Munich.He's now overtaken Zinedine Zidane as Real Madrid's 2nd most successful coach and also the Real Madrid's manager with the 2nd most wins, behind in both categories only to Miguel Munoz.It's fair to say that it's only a matter of time before he surpasses Munoz's legacy at least trophy wise and with the arrivals of Kylian Mbappe,Endrick and potentially Lenny Yoro, he would only get better as we enter next season.

2.Pep Guardiola-

after leading Man City to a treble last Season, the Man City squad hasn't managed to reach the same heights this season which is quite understandable considering that they've practically won every trophy available in England and in Europe but make no mistake, Pep Guardiola's side are still formidable even if they haven't been at their best this Season.His team is currently in pole position to win a fourth consecutive Premier League Title which would be a record setting achievement and they are also in line to win another FA Cup trophy in the final against Manchester United.It is also quite interesting to note that Man City haven't lost a Premier League match in five months and are the only unbeaten side in the Premier League in 2024.What was shaping up to be an average season has become a season in which they could set an outstanding record as the only team to win four striahgt Premier League Titles.The only blemish perhaps will be their Champions League elimination although it was by no means an easy win for their opponents Real Madrid as they had to rely on penalties to knock them out.The season also saw the introduction of new players such as Gvardiol, Jeremy Doku, Mateo Kovacic and Matheu Nunes although none of them have been a smash hit at Manchester City.But with Pep Guardiola in the dugout, you can always count on him to bring the best out of players who play for him as time goes on.

3.Xabi Alonso-

Xabi Alonso has led Bayern Leverkusen to an unprecedented season in a very successful breakout season which has seen him break nearly unbreakable records. His team are currently the only unbeaten team in Europe, the only team to ever go 50 games unbeaten, have won their 1st Bundesliga and could complete a treble by winning the DFB Pokal and Europa League.His surprising achievements this season has led to him becoming one of the hottest new managers on the market although he has decided to remain at Bayer Leverkusen and continue to lead the team as the manager.One of Xabi' Alonso main reasons for his success as a manager is his ability to get the best out of his players and playing a style which perfectly suites his team as a whole from defense to attack.His team have currently scored over 130 goals and have conceded less than 50 in all competitions.It's quite interesting that he played under Jose Mourinho,Carlo Ancelotti and and Pep Guardiola, learning a lot from each of these legendary managers and using this knwoledge in matches against opposition.Anyone who has watched Xabi Alonso's matches can see that his style of play shows a part of the footballing philosophies he acquired from the aforementioned managers along with his own tactical acumen.If he bcontnue to elevate and increase his status as a great manager, he could potentially become one of the greatest managers of all time alongside the all time great.
