TOP 3 CHAMPIONS LEAGUE MATCHES OF THE SEAASON

This season's Champions has given several classics, from group stage to Knockout and there are a whole lot to pick from but i chose three in my(personal) opinion i think is the best whether you disagree or agree.

1.Real Madrid 3 - Manchester City 3

Arguably the best match of this year's Champions League Knockout football, Real Madrid and Man City battled to a draw in the Quarter Final First Leg.Man City started quickly and scored after the 2nd Minute thanks to a clever Bernard Silva free kick. Real Madrid slowly found a foothold in the game and soon equalised thanks to a Camavinga shot which deflected off Ruben Dias and past Stefan Ortega. Real Madrid would score again after another incisive counter attack finished off by Rodrygo when he was put through on goal by Vinicius Jnr;s excellent left footed pass.Real Madrid would continue to counter attack at will throughout the first half and missed chances through Vini Jnr, Rodrygo and Fede Valverde whilst limiting Manchester City at the other end.Early on in the second half, they Real Madrid would missed further opportunities through Vinicius Jnr and Jude Bellingham.Man City began to take control as the second half progressed albeit without creating clear cut chances whilst also slowing down Real Madrid's counter attacking threat. They equalised out of nothing when Phil foden, who had been anonymous up until that point, received possession on the edge of the area and smacked a shot right in to the top corner of the Net leaving Andriy Lunin with no chance. They would score a quickfire third when Gvardiol also scored from the edge of the box despite taking a bad first touch, with his weaker right foot. With 13 minutes to go, it seemed as though Man City would go to the Etihad with a win but Real Madrid had one more goal left in them and they equalised thanks to Fede Valverde's "Golazo" from just inside the box from a deep Vini Jnr cross.Real Madrid would continue to push but Man City held firm for the most part and it ended as a draw.

2.Manchester United 2- Galatasaray 3

One of the biggest upsets of the season, a whole list could have been made of Man Utd's exciting but turbulent time in this Season Champions League this but this one was the most intriguing. Anyway, it started with both teams feeling each other out before Man Utd started to take control although Galatasaray also had danger up front, especially in former Crystal Palace Winger Wilfried Zaha.Man Utd drew first blood through Rasmus Hojlund when he finished off a Marcus Rashford Cross.Man Utd continue to cause danger and managed to score again but was disallowed for offside. Galatasaray made them pay for their wastefulness just before half time when Wilfried Zaha chased a long ball, outmuscled Diogo Dalot, who should have done better, and scored past Andre Onana. In the second half, Rasmus Hojlund would score again after a turnover form the Galatasaray fell to his feet which allowed him to sprint towards goal unchallenged before scoring again to Man Utd the lead for the second time in the game.It seemed set and done but as the game opened up, the Turkish side began to push forward more and equalized again through Kerem Akturkoglu.Things would get worse for Man Utd when Casemiro got red carded and conceded a penalty after a terrible Andre Onana mistake but Mauro Icardi missed the penalty. It didn't matter anyway as Mauro Icardi scored the winner after Galatasaray won possession and he was set free one- on one with Onana after a slide rule pass. Galatasaray would hold on and win the game to condemn Man United to one of four defeats they suffered overall in their disastrous Champions League campaign.

3.Newcastle 4 PSG 1

this is a very interesting result not because not because of the fact that Newcastle beat PSG but how they simply outclassed Billion Dollar side in every department without barely breaking a sweat. You could tell from the faces of the PSG players that it was going to be a long night the moment the first goal was scored.Newcastle scored through Miguel Almiron who slotted the ball past Gianluigi Donnarumma when he parried Alexander Isak's shot onto his path.Newcastle's tactics was a very effective one as they sacrificed possession to stifle PSG from building any momentum whilst shredding them on the counter attack. They scored again after Dan Burn header which allowed to go to half time with a 2-0 lead. One must have thought that maybe after that abysmal first half, PSG would have at least made a comeback to try and get something from the game but that wasn't the case at all, in fact Newcastle scored a third after five minutes into the second half when Sean Longstaff slotted the ball past Donnaruma.PSG pulled one back through Lucas Hernandez but it proved to be just a mere consolation.Newcastle would put the icing on the cake the cake in added time when they scored a fourth goal to completely kill off PSG to cap off a richly deserved win after a fantastic performance. Meanwhile, PSG's superstar players didn't have any positive impact on the game as they were all muted on the night.Although the French Side got one over the Magpies in the return match, this defeat will linger on their minds for a long time.
